Aksel performed with violinist Arve Tellefsen in artist Carl Nesjar's funeral

For the funeral service of the great painter, sculptor and friend of Picasso, Carl Nesjar, Aksel was asked to participate with two solo songs. Aksel was happy to be able to contribute to a worthy farewell to the important artist, with prominent guests present, such as the Norwegian Minister of Culture. First Aksel sang "Bist du bei mir" with Erling Strøm (organ), and later he was joined by the celebrated violinist Arve Tellefsen for the Norwegian religious folk tone "Eg veit i himmerik ei borg".

Aksel was mentioned in several regional and national printed newspapers. For example:
