Critical praise for Aksel's performance at award ceremony

Sept 3rd - Aula of Oslo University - Photo: Henning Høholt

At the award ceremony of the Anders Jahre's culture prize, Aksel sang first with the Children's Chorus of the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet (conducted by Edle Stray-Pedersen), and later as a soloist with Tore Dingstad accompanying on the grand piano. A lot of prominent guests were present, including the Minister of Culture, Thorhild Widwey, the Minister of Finance, Siv Jensen, and former Prime Minister, Kjell Magne Bondevik.

The award ceremony was reviewed by Kulturkompasset, and Editor in chief Henning Høholt wrote: "The boy soprano Aksel Johannes Skramstad Rykkvin sang Voi Che Sapete from Mozart's 'The Marriage of Figaro' in a very convincing way, and fully deserved the most passionate applause of the night."

Below you can see Aksel listed both in the printed concert ad in the newspaper Aftenposten and in the concert program.
