Aksel and cathedral organist Kåre Nordstoga recently gave a joint concert in October in Oslo Cathedral for the second year in a row - that makes a tradition, right? The concert was even grander than the year before, with a more challenging repertoire for Aksel, professional video/audio recording and even more people coming to listen. The main section of the cathedral was packed, and many people had to sit in the side sections.

Aksel and Nordstoga definitely didn't disappoint! The music ranged from Bach and Händel to a first performance of a new Pie Jesu written with Aksel's voice in mind by Norwegian composer Eivind Rossow (who also attended the concert).

As you probably know, Aksel has been signed by UK record label Signum Classics to record a CD of solo baroque arias with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment! We are financing part of the recording through a Kickstarter.com campaign. Many of the rewards on offer include a full video of the concert with Aksel and Nordstoga.
