Great reviews for title role performance

Aksel takes great pride and joy in singing in the brilliant Children's Chorus of the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet. The choir was founded 13 years ago by its current manager and conductor, Edle Stray-Pedersen.

In addition to filling all the children's roles in the Main House operas, the Children's Chorus also put up performances on their own. This season the main show was the Kurt Weill opera "Der Jasager - He who says Yes". In this stylized "learning opera" with a libretto by Bertolt Brecht, Aksel played the title role as "The Boy".

He received some really great reviews from the critics present at the premiere!

Periskop.no wrote:

"The fact that he sings so radiantly, with such intensity and seriousness in his voice, is crucial in making the audience engage in the musical drama."

Scenekunst.no on their part wrote:

"Aksel Johannes Skramstad Rykkvin gives a superb performance in the main role as 'The Boy' "
